What’s Pink Shirt Day?
Pink Shirt Day started when David Shepherd and Travis Price, students at a Nova Scotia high school, saw a student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They decided to support the student by purchasing a bunch of pink shirts and handing them out to everyone to wear the next day at school.
Now, Pink Shirt Day is a national initiative that recognizes the power of positivity and represents the difference that can be made by two people who took the time to stand up for someone who needed it and said – hey, it’s not ok to treat people this way!
One creative participant will win $5,000 – $2,500 for them, and $2,500 to pay it forward to a deserving Saskatchewan resident or Saskatchewan based charity or organization.
One (1) winner will be selected randomly by SaskTel on February 24.
Pay it forward eligibility:
The $2,500 pay it forward prize can be gifted to an individual, charity or organization in Saskatchewan that is demonstrated to SaskTel’s satisfaction, to be in need of financial assistance.
