Clusters of Kindness

At Lakeview Elementary School, students are learning the value of kindness through a unique project called ‘Clusters of Kindness’. The project involves groups of students delivering flowers to anonymous strangers, with the goal of promoting altruism and brightening someone’s day.

The rationale behind giving flowers to unknown recipients is that kindness from a stranger is often the most meaningful. Students have delivered flowers to a variety of places, including a long-term care facility, a senior gardening outside, and the food bank kitchen staff.

The project has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from both the recipients of the flowers and the students delivering them. The community at large has also responded positively to the project. Witnessing the impact of their actions has been incredibly beneficial for the students, and the project continues to spread kindness and positivity.
