Skip for Kindness Club
At Ruth Pawson School, kindness is a daily practice. With support from the Be Kind Online Grant, the school purchased jump ropes for all 92 members of the Skip for Kindness Club and long ropes for senior classrooms.
This initiative encourages positive play and fosters a sense of belonging. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 skip together, creating a powerful symbol of unity. Junior ambassadors lead the group in a cheer, promoting fun and inclusion.
Vice Principal Heidi Kerr highlights the club’s impact: “The Ruth Pawson Skip for Kindness Club hopes to carry the spirit of kindness into the summer, as students take their ropes home and continue spreading joy, inclusion, and positive play all summer long in our community!”
As the school year ends, students bring their ropes home, spreading the club’s values of kindness and inclusion.
