Hepburn School Youth Wellness Conference

In early May 2025, Hepburn School, in conjunction with the Town of Hepburn, hosted a Youth Wellness Conference for students in Grades 7-12, with a smaller component for Grades 1-6. The event featured numerous presenters who spoke on the importance of mental health among youth and covered topics such as boundaries, medicine wheel teaching, internet safety, empathy, and the stigma surrounding mental health.

The conference also included a physical wellness portion, offering activities such as biking, yoga, meditation, and a drumming class to demonstrate effective ways to cope with stress. The day proved to be an invaluable experience for the students, contributing significantly to their understanding of both mental and physical wellness.

The event not only highlighted the importance of mental and physical health but also fostered a sense of community and support among the youth. The positive impact of the conference will undoubtedly be felt for a long time, as the lessons learned and the connections made continue to resonate with the students.
