Pink Shirt Day
Pink Shirt Day is just around the corner! This year it’s February 27th and SaskTel Be Kind Online is asking you to wear your pink in support against all forms of bullying and flood the internet with kindness!
Pink Shirt Day started when David Shepherd and Travis Price, students at a Nova Scotia high school saw a student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. They decided to support the student by purchasing a bunch of pink shirts and handing them out to everyone to wear the next day at school. Now, Pink Shirt Day is a national event that recognizes the difference made by two people who took the time to stand up for someone who needed it and said – hey, it’s not ok to treat people this way!
Be a part of the celebrations and spread some kindness, because one small act can make a difference in the lives of others!
