Prisma Colour 2025
At Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School in Regina, Prisma Colour, a student-led group for grades 9 to 12, has been making a significant impact since its establishment in September 2021. The group aims to support 2SLGBTQIA+ students and foster a culture of awareness, sensitivity, and empathy within the school community.
Thanks to the Be Kind Online Grant, Prisma Colour has hosted several events that have brought joy and connection to Miller High School. This year, they introduced the “Crystal Café,” serving kindness, coffee, and treats to students once a month starting in January 2025. The café, initiated by a Grade 12 student, raised $111.00 for LuLu’s Lodge, a transitional home for LGBTQ2S+ youth facing homelessness in Regina.
In June, Prisma Colour students chalked a diversity of Pride flags and messages of love and hope, spreading kindness and acceptance. They also handed out free freezies to over five hundred students on Rainbow Dress Up Day, promoting generosity and love. To kick off Pride month, Prisma Colour invited Miller’s Indigenous Advisor to help students make breathing bead keychains, designed to promote mindfulness and stress reduction.
Prisma Colour’s initiatives have fostered a sense of belonging, kindness, and acceptance at Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School, creating a more inclusive and loving community for all.
