Youth Mental Health Leadership Retreat
Senior students at St. Theresa Elementary School participated in a three-day outdoor leadership retreat designed to foster meaningful social interactions, dialogue, and outdoor activities, disconnected from technology and social media. They learned skills such as rabbit snaring, indigenous plant identification, fishing, and night hiking. The retreat, part of the “Be Kind Online” program, aimed to develop social leadership and advocate for positive, stigma-free relationships. It helped students understand the value of social capital and encouraged empathy and openness, fostering a supportive community.
